Ode to WOLFSTAR BIG BANG SIGN UPS!!!

 Now that it’s officially December, it’s time to get things moving for the 2018 Wolfstar Big Bang! Head on over to Dreamwidth from now through January 5th to sign up as an artist or writer.

 

You can check out our detailed FAQ and timeline on Dreamwidth or Tumblr, but here are the basics:

 

 Writers are committing to a story minimum of 30k words.

Artists are committing to a minimum of 3 pieces of artwork.

       All work must be original and unpublished.

All participants must be over the legal age of consent in their country of residence.

Sign ups end on January 5th, submissions are due June 30th. Don’t worry, there will be plenty of chatting and check-ins during the creative period!

Usernames on any other platform: I am spklvr everywhere, though on tumblr I have a sideblog called spklvrswolfstartrashblog, just to keep my wolfstar stuff in one place

Hogwarts House(s): Hufflepuff! :D Proof of this is that I'm very concerned jokingly calling people lame for liking vowels will upset someone. Liking vowels is okay and don't let anyone tell you otherwise!

When did you first start reading Harry Potter: As the third movie was released. I wasn't a huge fan of the first two movies, but when I saw the third one I was intrigued and started reading the books. I believe it was also the first book I read in English.
What was it in the books that made you see a Remus/Sirius romance: I don't actually remember. This was one of my first ships and my introduction to fanfiction (I was NOT old enough to read fanfiction), but sadly I cannot for the life of me think of when I saw it. I just did all of a sudden.

When did you first start reading Harry Potter: I came in via the films and audio recordings. I believe 'Philosopher's Stone' hit the screens in 2000, so... a long time ago!

What was it in the books that made you see a Remus/Sirius romance: Again, for me it was their interactions on-screen, particularly in 'Prisoner of Azkaban' and 'Order of the Phoenix' - Sirius trying to keep Remus from shifting ("this heart, Remus!" <3), and how close and comfortable they were when Harry arrived at Grimmauld Place. Little things that all added up ;)

yeah, remus' death worked very well in context. after everything, it felt like one bit of happiness for him. which, of course i was not happy, but there was something nicely symbolic about it.

When did you first start reading Harry Potter: When I was nine, and terrified of my librarian because I am the shyest human, but I wanted that ‘book about a boy wizard’ bad enough to make her order it.

What was it in the books that made you see a Remus/Sirius romance: Since I was a teenager by the time Ootp appeared, I think I was naturally at a phase of ‘angsty romance is life’. Queue the Forty Line Stare, cohabitation, nd wanting Remus to be happy and then dying a little when that is *not* what happened. Thank goodness for fanfic because Remus deserves happiness...
