Ode to WOLFSTAR BIG BANG SIGN UPS!!!

 Now that it’s officially December, it’s time to get things moving for the 2018 Wolfstar Big Bang! Head on over to Dreamwidth from now through January 5th to sign up as an artist or writer.

 

You can check out our detailed FAQ and timeline on Dreamwidth or Tumblr, but here are the basics:

 

 Writers are committing to a story minimum of 30k words.

Artists are committing to a minimum of 3 pieces of artwork.

       All work must be original and unpublished.

All participants must be over the legal age of consent in their country of residence.

Sign ups end on January 5th, submissions are due June 30th. Don’t worry, there will be plenty of chatting and check-ins during the creative period!

It all depends what age and how much of the series you've been able to charge on through. Particularly if you were 20 or more. I was 13 for PoA, and I didn't think much of it, because I was so happy for Harry and Sirius, I guess. And their fleeting moment. I was still young enough to be connected to the parents Harry never had.

I think I was around the same age (whatever middle school age is)? But the difference I think is because their interaction in the shack reminded me a lot of my uncle and his "special friend". So I guess it's more accurate to say I don't think I knew right away they were gay, just they were like that. LOL.

Awwww, that's a sweet story – you recognized the different vibe, but it didn't have a name. TBH, the more I think about it, the more I realize that I don't remember how I got into R/S. It was most likely because I loved them so much in Harry's life and what they meant to him, so I was always happy to "see" them...TBH, I never applied any sexuality to them at all. I have a great memory, but I genuinely am unsure, lolol.

Is he really referred to has his "special friend"? it's so 1980 "Longtime Companion".

I do love them in Harry's life! It was like Harry was finally going to have a happy family life with adults that care about his well-being! I think the sexuality thing probably came along afterward...probably in the middle where we were/are sorting ours out. But it's hard for me to say cause I keep falling in and out of the fandom depending on Sirius' life status. LOL.

Haha. My uncle used some endearment in Italian that I can't remember but he always says it translates into "a special friend". Now he just openly says "boyfriend" (granted, it's no longer the same person beause time is a funny thing).
